The Pianodrome is a 100-seater dome with seating made from 50 old pianos.

We played at their fundraiser in Edinburgh in March and now we’ll be playing in the Pianodrome itself.

Show starts at 7 and we’re on first, followed by local band S!nk.

The Pianodrome is also open earlier in the day, if you want to go and poke around. During the Edinburgh Fringe it’s open every day between 10am and 4pm. There might be a free workshop on, or you can have a go on the five pianos which haven’t been converted into seats.

From Berlin to Amsterdam and then Edinburgh, Dominic has betrayed the sickly-sweet world of alibi lyrics with declamatory zeal. This is a rare chance to catch Dominic with full band at the CCA.”

Georgie from Ilk and Taikotronik hosts a beginner’s taiko workshop at the CCA in the afternoon. No musical or drumming experience necessary. Open to anyone over 15, of any fitness level. Playing taiko is exhilarating, energising and joyous. Release your power!

Bring/wear comfortable clothes that you can move freely in. Drums and sticks will be provided.

Daniel Padden Daniel Padden is a composer and musician living in Edinburgh. Solo live performances are rare, and might include voices, tape machines, household percussion, or even a guitar. He mostly makes music for theatre, and is a member of The One Ensemble and Volcano The Bear.

Ilk are playing at an all-day event to raise money for the On The Corner music collective we’re part of, which has a rehearsal studio at The Space (a fantastic new community venue on the corner of the Barras in the East End of Glasgow).

Doors are at 1.45. Kick off is at 2pm with a drop-in taiko workshop by Taikotronik (a.k.a. Georgie McGeown of Ilk) and Ilk close the event with a set at 8.30pm.
